I have been a runner most of my life. It was recreational at first, but then I started doing 5k races and then moving onto longer distances. I went to globo gyms for strength training to improve my race times, but my attendance was inconsistent because I hated having to come up with different workouts. A friend suggested that I give CrossFit a try. Once I started, I was hooked. I loved how it incorporated things that I was familiar with (running and strength training) and introduced me to new things such as gymnastics and Olympic Lifting. Eventually I focused more on CrossFit and running became secondary.
A lot of coaches and athletes have helped me along my fitness journey, and I’m happy that I now get to give back to the community. I enjoy working with the athletes in the Strength and Conditioning program and helping them improve their performance and skills in their sport.
